Student Life Office

The Student Life Office is a voice for students within the small, personalized Antioch community. The office represents and supports student interests and issues, and its staff participates on boards and committees such as the Student Services Council.

Antioch's student body is represented by the Student Dean, who is appointed by the Academic Dean to provide student advocacy and oversight for the student life office. The Student Dean develops and implements programs and strategies for increasing involvement of students in campus life and meets regularly with the president's team. Patricia Russell, Psy.D. student, is the current office holder. She is the first student to hold the position and she began her two-year term in December 2007.

Benefits are Many

The Student Life Office serves a host of needs by offering:

  • student receptions, speaking engagements and other events—most of them free
  • leadership and networking opportunities by helping you initiate projects, activities and events throughout the Antioch community
  • information on student services such as the emergency loan fund, third-party health and dental insurance options, and Antioch’s affiliation with a local gym
  • student lockers ($10 per quarter)
  • the student lounge, with space for networking, eating and studying. The lounge includes bulletin boards listing job opportunities that supplement openings advertised through the academic programs.
  • student groups such as 'Ohana, an inclusive group for students, staff and faculty of color
  • an all-around resource for your questions

A list of where to find specific student services is in each class schedule.
