How to Apply for a Scholarship

Antioch has several scholarship opportunities for new students. The applications can be found below.  Criteria may vary, so be sure to review each scholarship listing to determine your eligibility. For more information about Antioch’s scholarships for new students, contact the Financial Aid Office at 937-909-1852 or send an e-mail.

Available Scholarships

$4,000 Antioch University Seattle Student Excellence Scholarship (Awarded Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters) — This scholarship recognizes an outstanding scholarship applicant. This is a one-time, $4,000 scholarship.

$5,000 Berglund Family Scholarship (Awarded Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters) — Made possible from the Berglund Family Endowment. This scholarship is awarded to a student entering the BA Liberal Studies or MA Psychology programs with demonstrated financial need.

$5,000 Sandra Meggert Scholarship (Awarded Summer and Spring Quarters) This award bestows a $5,000 scholarship to a student who identifies as Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color (BIPOC) and is entering their first year in either the MA CMHC or PhD CES programs.

$5,000 Bruce and Arlene Crandall Scholarship (Awarded Fall Quarter) — This $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to one Antioch University student accepted for the Summer/Fall MFA term, GSLC Summer Trimester, Fall Semester, or Fall Quarter, who has demonstrated social courage by serving in the US Military or has contributed to one of the following national service programs: AmeriCorps, City Year, Peace Corps, and VISTA by completing at least one year of full-time service. The application has closed for the 2023-24 academic year.

$4,000 National Service Scholarship (Awarded Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters) — This scholarship is open to new students who have contributed to one of the following national service programs: AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and VISTA. Award to one new student each quarter who is a full-time AmeriCorps member or who is an AmeriCorps, VISTA, or Peace Corps alum who has completed at least one year of full-time service.

$6,000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship (Awarded Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters) — This scholarship is for new transfer BA Completion students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, and recognizes their outstanding academic achievement. The scholarship is renewable for up to 8 quarters, for a maximum total value of $6,000.

$5,000 Richard Norris Native American Scholarship (Awarded Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters) — This scholarship recognizes Richard Norris’ many contributions to the Antioch University Seattle Community and seeks to honor his commitment to student service by supporting and recognizing the potential of a new Native American, Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian AUS student. This is a one-time, $5,000 scholarship.

$1,800 Anima Mundi Scholarship (Awarded Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters) — In honor of the career and legacy of Antioch’s professor emerit Randy Morris; this scholarship supports students with a strong interest and commitment to spiritual studies. Eligible continuing students in the BA Completion program are contacted directly each quarter with application instructions. This is a one-time $1,800 scholarship.

$500 Pat Linn Scholarship (Awarded Fall Quarter) — This scholarship was established to recognize Dr. Linn‘s remarkable achievements during her 30-year tenure at Antioch and to provide PsyD students with more support for their research pursuits. Eligible continuing students in the Psy.D. program are contacted directly with application instructions. This is a one-time, $500 scholarship awarded to two continuing PsyD students each Fall quarter.

Other Scholarship Resources

Martinez Fellowship Program — Impact Washington’s achievement gap by improving teacher diversity and retaining teachers of color. Fellows receive early career coaching, ongoing professional development, mentorship, and possible University-sponsored financial assistance.
