Bringing people together

In the cheery atrium, you'll discover a favorite meeting place on campus, the Antioch fountain. Artist Ellen Ziegler, an Antioch College alumna, designed "Hemisphere and Basin" after she studied how fountains serve as catalysts in communities to bring people together. She describes her creation, installed shortly after the building opened in late 1997, as a "tilting and balancing of endlessly renewing energy."
