Completing your Master Promissory Note

In order to borrow student loans, you need to go online and complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) at www.StudentLoans.gov.

At studentloans.gov, sign in and then click on "Complete MPN," and on the next screen select the "Subsidized / Unsubsidized" option. From there, follow all of the prompts to complete the MPN. Make sure that as part of the last step, after it asks you to review the HTML version, that you close the HTML window/tab and then go back to the first window to click "continue." You'll receive confirmation on the screen once your MPN is successfully submitted.
