VA Tuition Remission Policy

Purpose
In line with Antioch's mission and emphasis on social responsibility, the VA Tuition Remission Program has been established by Antioch University Seattle in recognition of the men and women who have honorably served in the armed forces of the United States of America.

Policy Statement
For honorably discharged Chapter 30 Veterans who have eligibility remaining and who are enrolled in baccalaureate or master's degree programs, Antioch University Seattle will reduce by 35% the cost of tuition for Veterans who have benefits at the three or more years of service level and by 25% for Veterans with fewer than three years of service. This program will stay in effect, even if the Veteran's benefits run out, as long as the veteran stays continuously enrolled until graduation.

Additional Policy Information
Interested Veterans, who desire to use their VA education benefits, must self-identify by providing a copy of their DD-214 to the Registrar prior to the last day of registration for the first term of enrollment at Antioch University Seattle. Tuition Remission discounts will be delayed until the next quarter, should the veteran report later than the last day of registration.

Veterans who have used their education benefits at another institution must complete the VA form 22-1995 and return it to the Registrar's Office.

Program participants are responsible for remaining in compliance with all university policies and procedures.

This program does not extend to new degree programs once the veteran has exhausted their benefits.

Tuition Remission discounts will begin when AUS receives notification of the veteran's eligibility. Until such notification, the veteran is responsible for paying the full tuition. Once eligibility is confirmed, AUS will reimburse overpayments for the preceding quarter.
