Campus Security
Antioch makes security information available to encourage safety on campus
through awareness, clear channels of communication and an emphasis on
reasonable precautions. Providing this information is in accordance with
the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990.
Antioch Seattle is in an urban environment, with classrooms and offices
at 2326 Sixth Ave. Since Antioch began keeping systematic records on Sept.
1, 1991, no substantiated serious crimes have taken place on campus for
which the law requires disclosure (murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault,
burglary, motor vehicle theft or sexual assault, both forcible and non-forcible).
Some thefts have occurred in the building. These include computer theft
during a break-in, a TV/VCR theft, some vandalism, stolen purses and car
break-ins in the rooftop parking lot.
Campus security statistics for colleges and universities across the country
are available at a U.S.
Department of Education website.
