Get your feet wet. Are you intrigued about a certain class or want to see what makes Antioch right for you? Do you want to get engaged but aren’t ready for a commitment? Consider auditing a class or taking a class for credit as a visiting student.
As a visiting student, you enroll in courses with or without intending to pursue a degree, and formal admission to the university is not required. You are not eligible for financial aid or loan deferments.
In myAntioch, simply log in as a guest to browse the current course offerings and see what courses interest you.
As a visitor, you take a class to earn academic credit that will appear on an official transcript. You fully engage in all learning activities, and because you take the course to earn credit, you will receive a written evaluation of your learning at the end of the term.
Register for an available class up to seven weeks before the term begins, until registration ends (deadline published in the Academic Calendar). Tuition is the same as that paid by a student matriculated in the program offering your course.
If you later apply for admission to a program, specific admission procedures and criteria apply. Credits you earn as a visitor do not automatically apply to a degree. For more information, stop by or email the Admissions Office or call 206-268-4202 (toll-free 888-268-4477).
As an auditor, you can take a class for your own enjoyment without earning credit. You may fully engage with your learning activities, but you receive no written evaluation of your work and you do not earn academic credit.
Registration to audit a course is only during the first week of the term, on a space-available basis. Registration is limited to selected courses.
Antioch University Seattle alumni and current students enrolled at least half-time may audit one course per term for free!
To register as a visitor or auditor, complete a Special Registration Form and submit it along with your tuition or audit fee, payable in full, to the Student Accounts Office. Some courses also may charge a materials or other supplemental course fee.
For questions about registering for a class as a visitor or auditor, stop by or email the Registrar’s Office or call 206-268-4772.
