“An uncommon education for those who want to find knowledge, not memorize it.” – Dean Betsy Geist
Make your career and your world better by expanding your professional growth with a degree from Antioch University Seattle, conveniently located downtown. Our graduates become leaders in their workplaces, receive promotions, open their own practices, become professional teachers, and start non-profits.
What kind of university is Antioch U Seattle? Our students celebrated Fall Convocation by trading the formality of caps and gowns for garden gloves and work boots to volunteer with their faculty and staff at four different sites in need around the city.
“Antioch University Seattle is not a traditional four-year university. Our roots are in service and educating people for lives of service to the community,” said President and former Congressman Dr. Brian Baird.
Would you like to learn more and become a part of this vibrant, educational experience? We invite you to talk with faculty and learn how our small class sizes, individualized programs, and experiential learning support you in reaching your professional goals at our Open House on Tuesday, October 22 from 6 – 8 p.m.

“I moved across the country to come to the best program that combines my professional interests in counseling with art therapy.” – Kathleen O’Connor, current student
AUS offers MA in Counseling and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, and both of these programs give the option to add Art Therapy or Drama Therapy. The focus of the MA in Marriage and Family Therapy is to prepare students for the licensed practice of child, couple, and family therapy. These practitioners typically work with clients from theoretical perspectives that are more interpersonally and systemically oriented. The focus of the MA in Counseling is to prepare students for the licensed practice of individual and group mental health counseling. These practitioners typically work with clients from theoretical perspectives that are more intrapersonally and individually oriented.
