Library Endorsement in Kent School District
Kent School District and Antioch University Seattle have partnered to offer an on-site library endorsement for Kent’s newly-created school library positions at a reduced tuition rate.
Endorsement classes will be held at various sites in Kent School District — primarily school libraries — beginning Fall 2014. The first class which will be held at Kent’s central administration building (see map) begins October 9 (see class schedule) and will include an orientation to Antioch student services and program overview.
Teacher-librarians may choose between completing the program as part of a Master of Arts in Education with school library endorsement or as a standalone endorsement. Candidates can complete the seven-course hybrid library endorsement classes selecting from two program offering designs over the next three school years (see schedule).
Teachers in surrounding school districts are invited to join this cohort in Kent. For more information please contact Dr. Christie Kaaland, email@example.com or Amanda Straker in admissions, firstname.lastname@example.org.
