Permaculture Schooling Opportunities

Antioch's Environment & Community (E&C) program offers innovative graduate-level permaculture certification courses and training events.

Many E&C students actively pursue permaculture internships and projects. They even create a veritable permaculture master's degree as they connect their E&C studies with personal and professional interests and designs.

Ties to International Permaculture Community

Also, core faculty member Jonathan Scherch, Ph.D., is actively engaged in permaculture Northwest activities as well as national and international permaculture initiatives. In 2004, he traveled to India to co-facilitate an exciting permaculture design workshop with Tibetan government officials pursuing organic agriculture practices within Tibetan refugee settlements.

At the invitation of Professor Samdong Rinpoche, prime minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, Scherch collaborated with Lobsang Tsering, a Tibetan Fulbright graduate student who studied permaculture and other themes of sustainable community development with Scherch during the previous year in Seattle.

Antioch's permaculture certification courses, permaculture classes and other events are designed to compliment student interests and program curriculum themes. Let Antioch know how training opportunities can be of service to your permaculture school aspirations.
