Kelly Vancil's teaching philosophy reflects a deep respect for the individual processes of reflection and inquiry, which leads him to prefer a student-centered forum where learning occurs through the active discussion of ideas. His research includes investigation of the link between the oral practice of critical thinking skills to the successful expression of thinking and learning.
