B.S., M.S., Ed.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Tina Dawson also served Antioch University Seattle as Interim Chair of the Graduate Teacher Preparation program and as Director of the Center for Programs in Education. Dawson served on the faculty of Virginia Tech’s College of Human Resources and Education for four years and taught in and directed various PK–12 programs in Virginia, mostly independent alternative community schools, for more than 20 years. She is an advisory board member for the National Coalition of Alternative Community Schools and has participated in numerous educational collaborations between the public and private sectors. Her interests include lifelong learning, community, experiential education, change, curriculum integration and viewing all education as environmental education.
