TA401A: Pre-assessment Seminar:  Theatre Arts (2)

You are introduced to the Theatre Arts competencies established by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. You assess your knowledge needs and develop a learning plan. There is a detailed examination of Antioch's portfolio requirements.

TA419: Theatre Arts Practicum (3)

You develop a unit plan that brings theatre into your classroom and school between mid-October and mid-May. The fieldwork includes preparation and review of the unit plan, implementation and observation by Antioch faculty and documentation of the project. This project serves as a major part of the final learning portfolio. Endorsement candidates registering for this course are eligible to request a $500 mini-grant provided through the generosity of the U.S. Bancorp Foundation toward the cost of props, costumes and other equipment associated with a K-12 theatrical production.

You prepare your portfolio for an effective presentation. These presentations are assessed by Antioch faculty to determine if you meet the basic competencies for a Theatre Arts Endorsement in Washington.
