How long does it take to complete the program?
When classes are taken sequentially, library candidates usually complete the 28.5 credit coursework in 15 months. Candidates have taken up to two years to complete the program.
What are the options for structuring my program?
Most library candidates take the coursework as a part of a cohort. This model allows you to develop a network of colleagues with whom you work, study and establish professional connections. The program also allows for an individually planned course of study.
Will I need a field placement or practicum?
A formal field placement is not required. Each course in the program is designed to include targeted observations in which you apply what you learn in the courses to your school setting.
As a student, do I have access to Antioch's library?
Yes. While enrolled in this program, you are entitled to make use of the resources available in Antioch's library.
Students can also take Antioch Library Media courses as an add-on endorsement through the School of Education. The cost per credit is the same.
