Summary of Education and Relevant Experience

B.A., M.A., Antioch University Seattle.
Candace Harris's interest in transformative adult education began in the early 1980s during her community-organizing work with women living in isolated towns on northern Vancouver Island. Her study of Paulo Freire's educational thought deeply informed this work and initiated her return to school as an adult. Her current interests include the intersections of education and spirituality, whole-person learning, education as liberation and the theory and practice of feminist pedagogy. She is also a certified Diamond Approach teacher (see also).
