The Spiritual Studies concentration focuses on the study of the human psyche, the study of religious traditions and how to live a spiritual life. It is a good choice if you wish to continue a path into the helping professions, or seek to deepen your spiritual life.
Both classwork and field-based learning connect the interior life to the needs of the world through spirituality. All classes approach the sacred with an attitude of “deep ecumenism” looking religious and spiritual traditions that acknowledge the element of mystery that resides in the heart of the divine. The Spiritual Studies concentration focuses on the study of the human psyche, the study of religious traditions, and what it means to live a spiritual life.
Graduates often go on to work for spiritual or religious-based organizations, start their own practices focused in a particular sector, while others gravitated towards activism. In addition, many graduates continue to pursue their interest in a related field through graduate work.
