Social Justice Studies

The goal of the Social Justice Studies concentration is to prepare you for work within your community, political and grassroots organizations or within governmental agencies, or teaching social studies.

Social Justice Studies is grounded in an understanding of the central role nonviolent social movements and citizen organizations play in a democratic society. This also empowers you to take a more active role in your community and you can shape your curriculum based on your professional needs and interests.

Graduates go on to create non-profits, working in unincorporated areas, creating new sustainability programs, teaching and working with labor, non-profit and with youth organizations.
