Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance (TA) is a military benefit for students who are still currently serving. This program is designed to support a service member’s personal and professional goals. Each branch of the service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application process, and restrictions.

To be eligible for TA, an enlisted service member must have enough time remaining in service to complete the course for which he or she has applied. After the completion of a course, an officer using TA must fulfill a service obligation that runs parallel with – not in addition to – any existing service obligation.

Please reach out to your branch-specific Education Service Officer or Career Counselor at your unit or base to determine your eligibility and what steps you need to take if you wish to seek out this benefit. Additionally, once you have determined your eligibility and reached out to your Education Service Officer, please feel free to reach out to Liz Carson-Murphy ([email protected]), the University Director of Veteran and Military Student Affairs, or your campus SCO.

Antioch University is approved to accept Tuition Assistance payments from all DOD branches of service.

The Tuition Assistance Program is awarded with the following limits:

  • Not to exceed $250 per semester credit hour or $166 per quarter credit hour
  • Not to exceed $4,500 per fiscal year, Oct. 1 through Sept. 30

Students using TA will only be enrolled in courses after it is approved by the Education Service Officer or Career Counselor.
