Three Antioch Seattle Faculty Named to Key Roles

Antioch University Seattle's Center for Creative Change has three faculty members who have been selected for leadership roles in Washington state.

Kate Davies, director of the Center for Creative Change, has been elected to the board of directors of the Washington Toxics Coalition, which protects public health and the environment by eliminating toxic pollution. Davies also recently was elected to chair the advisory board of directors for the Institute for Children's Environmental Health, a nationally recognized leader in environmental health.

The World Affairs Council chose Britt Yamamoto, Center for Creative Change core faculty member, to join its fellows program, a group of 20 to 30 community leaders and rising stars from the business, government, nonprofit, academic and scientific communities. Yamamoto also serves as executive director of iLeap: The Center for Critical Service, a Seattle nonprofit with a mission to cultivate and inspire a new generation of global citizens.

The executive board of the Northwest chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration elected Center for Creative Change core faculty member Jonathan Scherch its program vice president.
