Britt Yamamoto
Britt Yamamoto, Ph.D., core faculty in the Center for Creative Change – Yamamoto's background in sustainable agriculture and organic farming in the U.S. and Japan helped to form his special interest in the political ecology of food and eating. He is knowledgeable about the impact food choices have on natural systems, cultural practices and political economic structures as well as food production, distribution and consumption issues. International development, globalization, nongovernment organizations (NGOs), civic engagement, biotechnology and food safety and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are some of his areas of expertise. International cross-cultural education, service learning, adult learning theory and philanthropy and giving are among his other interests.
