AUS Establishes the Institute of War Stress Injury and Social Justice

The Institute of War Stress Injuries was formally established on 1 June, 2012 at Antioch University Seattle, and is the only known domestic or international academic entity dedicated to the principle of social justice by the study, identification, and elimination of contributing factors responsible for cyclic failure to meet the military mental health needs of the warrior class. The primary mission of the Institute of War Stress Injuries and Social Justice is to investigate and eliminate factors responsible for repetitive crises in military mental healthcare since the 20th century through research, advocacy, public outreach, consultation, training, presentations, and publication.
